This week’s couple is Liat and David. They are getting married in October. They went to the same school growing up but didn't really know each other then. As they got older and ran in the same circles they started dating. After dating a while David proposed to her on his farm.
It took us a while to schedule their engagement session due to a family emergency. We met last Sunday at Garrard Landing, a new park that I have not shot at before. We met early in the morning before it got too hot. It is a really nice park off of Holcomb Bridge Road. There is a walking trail that winds through the park. In the middle of the park there is a covered bridge that is a great location for photos. It is a great park for older people for strolls and for young kids there is a play area with monkey bars, swings and things to play on.
As an Atlanta wedding photographer I love to do engagement sessions. It is my way to get to know the couple. We chat and get to know each other. I learn about their brothers and sisters, Where they were born, time they spent traveling and working in New York City. These life experiences shape who they are. I also get to know how comfortable they are in front of the camera. I saw how David loves the outdoors and neither one is afraid to get a little dirty. They would laugh and just step into the creek to get the shot. They easily climbed in the tall grass to get a great photo.
I had so much fun with Liat and David! I could tell that they are such good souls. It makes me look forward to the wedding even more! They are such a fun couple. I know that their wedding is going to be fun and everyone is going to have a wonderful time!
